The signs with the logo on are finally up. We mounted them on the hand cart that we built for festivals and shows a while ago. It is holding up well, we do need to change the wheels though!
Built out of reclaimed wood, this was the first.
We wanted to build a seat. So taking 4″ nails, a saw and a hammer, we built the commode. So called because of the hole.
We started building and planting raised beds and also decided to see what could be built from 4″ nails, a hammer and a saw.
The commode remains unfinished – it’s gets a chuckle every time we call it the commode and it reminds us the fun we had that day. Although we built the bed out of wood we are hoping to start using stone to build future raised beds and we are also looking at Hugelkultur. This technique lays a mound of wood, followed by manure, compost and a mulch. It works because the rotting trees decompose releasing nitrogen but also work to retain and release water.
