Many young people love burgers, pizzas and a range of fast foods. Much of what they eat, doesn’t look that good, doesn’t taste that good and is generally unhealthy.
We are growing a range of soft and hard fruit. On top of that we are teaching young people how to cook from scratch, how to use healthy food to make their favourites.
Made from free-range mince and mixed with crackers, onions and a range of herbs. We cook them up on an open fire, which means the young people get to make the fire as well!
What we’re growing
Blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, redcurrants, jostaberries, tomatoes, onions, garlic, salads and plus a flower garden.
How are we growing
We are growing according to techniques set out by Paul Gautschi in the Back to Eden film. His basic premise is, look at nature and see how that works, then we should copy nature. So we have started storing mulch and making our own compost. We have already mulched much of the land. It really will be a no dig project. We want this to be fun, inspirational and to encourage young gardeners.
